Preventative Dentistry

At our practice, we believe the best way to treat a dental issue is to prevent the issue from happening in the first place. Dr. Zweber has developed a dedicated family dental program that focuses on preventative dentistry. We begin seeing children at one year of age to make sure they get a healthy start and learn the tools they need to prevent dental problems. We monitor our patients closely throughout their lives, and we become familiar with their unique smiles and needs.

The advantages of seeing the same dentist over the years include:

  1. Dr. Zweber will understand your smile and your needs thoroughly, and will be able to detect issues earlier and customize your treatment more specifically than any other dentist can.
  2. You will feel more comfortable with your dentist so you can ask questions and get a better understanding of your dental care.
  3. Consistent care prevents dental issues. Consistent appointments keep dentistry conservative, gentle, and affordable.

We hope that Cordata Family, Implant, and Aesthetic Dentistry will become your trusted dental home. To learn more about preventative dentistry, give us a call or schedule your visit today.

Some of the general services we provide are described below.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride helps keep your teeth strong and healthy. When it’s time for your fluoride treatment, we’ll have you swish the flavored fluoride for about one minute. After fluoride, patients need to wait thirty minutes before eating, so plan accordingly.

Sealants

Sealants provide a barrier between your tooth and bacteria, preventing dental decay and pain. We encourage patients, especially young patients, to protect their smiles with sealants. Sealants are composed of a clear or tooth-colored resin material, which forms a smooth surface over the pits and grooves of the molars.

We offer all of these services, along with other general care to ensure you enjoy the best oral health. Dr. Zweber cares about her patients, and she takes the time to get to know them and give them the one-on-one attention they need.
